Many properties allow pets these days, realizing that people often consider them family and want to vacation with them. You'll be able to choose a pet-friendly accommodation from the many options that offer varying pet amenities, services, and fees. Book early if you can; "pet rooms" are in high demand and most rentals have a limited supply. When booking a room, be sure to let the reservation desk know that you're bringing a dog or other pet with you. Confirm the accommodation's pet policies to ensure things go smoothly when you check-in.
Finding accommodations that allow pets is just one part of a vacation with the family. Check out local and regional dog parks and beaches in Alberta, or look through dog-friendly attractions that you may be able to visit together. Of course, there are many beautiful walking paths and trails that welcome leashed dogs. Go for a leisurely stroll or a more adventurous hike before returning back to your hotel (or cottage, cabin, B&B, or wherever you're staying), where everyone can relax or have a snack. Happy travels!
