Attractions:The Queen Charlotte Islands are situated 80 km west of the BC main-land. Rich with Haida culture and pristine nature, the Islands are a great vacation destination.
If you like to beach comb there are many beautiful beaches, parks and other wilderness areas waiting to be explored. On some of our beaches you can find agates, semi- precious stones! If you are lucky you may even find a Japanese glass float.
You may want to go on an all day trip by boat or plane to either Ninstints or Skedans, two abandoned Haida villages with standing and fallen totem poles. Or, perhaps you would like to soak in the warmth of the hot springs after a day of kayaking and exploration of coastal marine life.
If you like to shop we have some wonderful stores for you to explore. Local artisans are scattered throughout the islands with unique gift items for you or gifts for your friends and family.
Fishing is a popular activity on the Queen Charlottes. There is no experience like reeling in a big salmon or halibut. We can help you find a local fishing guide who knows where the 'big ones' are.
Other activities that are available on the Queen Charlotte Islands include forest tours, mountain biking, camping, hiking and backpacking.
