Nestled on the shores of beautiful Kootenay Lake, the Lakewood Inn offers a restful break from life's frantic pace. The setting is majestic with the Selkirk range behind and the Purcell mountains and Kootenay Lake in front. You will find the atmosphere to be very relaxed and casual with no phones or television to interfere with the call of the Loons and the babbling of the creek.

You will feel cozy and at ease in our rustic, yet fully equipped cabins. All cabins have full kitchens, covered decks with couches, charcoal barbecues and washrooms with showers. The cabins are uniquely and tastefully decorated with you in mind. Whether you are looking for a magazine or book to read, a game to play, or a quilt to snuggle up with, you will find it and many more comforts of home. Choose from our selection of six cabins, all with lake views.

Ten 10 camping/RV sites are also scattered throughout the property. Each have lake and mountain views, some by the water, some in the trees. Each site has water and electric, while most have septic. Three free washroom/shower units are provided for our campers. Fire pits are communal and there are several throughout the grounds.

This small family run resort offers a stress-free time away from it all. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a quality family vacation, or a great fishing experience, the Lakewood will provide you with a warm welcome, incomparable hospitality and comfortable accommodations in a beautiful setting. We are located just six kilometers north of Kaslo, British Columbia. This is a quick and beautiful 4.5 hour drive from Spokane, WA.

Pets in residence. Guest pets: $5 per night. Pets must be leashed.If pet is couch loving must bring own doggie blankets. Please clean up after your pet.

Services and Amenities:

Fully equipped rustic log cabins looking over the lake, lakeshore and private beach, camp sites, marina, boat rentals, wood burning sauna and plentiful gardens and fruit trees add to the uniqueness of the resort. The water is clear and crisp, and the fish (including Gerrard Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Kokanee and more) are in abundance.

Attractions:

The Kootenays is an outdoor paradise, just waiting at your beck and call. Quaint Kaslo is a mere 4 km south of the resort and is a great place to start. Local attractions include: the SS Moyie (the last running passenger sternwheeler in North America); Cody Caves; Ainsworth Hot Springs; museums and walking tours; Kokanee Glacier Park; Valhalla Glacier Park; ghost towns; and golfing.

Don't forget about fishing! Some of the best fishing you will find is right outside the Lakewood Inn marina! There are many species of fish in the lake, including Gerrard Rainbow Trout up to 30lbs, Dolly Varden up to 25lbs, Kokanee Salmon, Whitefish, Ling and more. And let's not forget ice fishing at nearby Fish and Bear Lakes!

Cabins start at $90 per night and camping starts at $20.00per night - based on two people (plus taxes). . Off season and weekly rates are available.

All reservations require a deposit at least one week in advance. We accept cash, cheque and Mastercard. Please note that prices listed are in Canadian funds and do not include taxes. We accept cancellations up to 14 days prior to your arrival minus 10%.
