The Wheatley's offers two unique options for your next getaway! The house is a character four bedroom country home which sleeps up to 10 guests and the other is a cozy cottage which sleeps 4-6. The property is across from Whaler Bay on Galiano Island - the hidden jewel of the Gulf Islands, British Columbia, Canada.

The Wheatleys is ideally suited to accommodate singles, couples, families, groups and retreats. Everyone is welcome including your well behaved pets!

The Wheatleys is conveniently located close to the Sturdies Bay ferry dock, galleries, shops, beaches and markets. Kayakers and guests arriving by boat may use our private dock. The Wheatleys will make your trip to the island a memorable one.

Situated on a beautifully landscaped property, there are two separate self-contained heritage style accommodations, a four bedroom house and a two bedroom cottage. The house offers four comfortable bedrooms, including a roof-top gazebo, two full bathrooms (one with a cedar sauna), a modern, well equipped kitchen, a spacious living room with TV/VCR and stereo, and a tasteful dining area. There is also a south facing deck for your evening barbecue, and the old-fashioned porch with wicker is perfect for relaxation and enjoying the surrounding woodlands. Lawn badminton and children's play equipment are part of the large garden area - perfect for adults as well as children and pets.

The cottage is the smaller yet cozy option which works well for couples on their own, with the kids or maybe even the Grandparents while the others stay in the main house. The bedroom skylights in the cottage offer sunshine by day & star gazing at night. You can enjoy a view of Whalers Bay from the sunroom, which expands into the kids sleeping quarters. A open kitchen & living room with skylights, and an outside deck (with fenced in private garden) for barbecuing & relaxing completes the picture.

Less than an hour by ferry from the Vancouver Mainland, Galiano Island is the first ferry stop enroute to the Gulf Islands. Galiano can also be reached readily from Vancouver Island via the Gulf Islands ferry.

Pet Policy:

All pets welcome, but must be accompanied by responsible owners. Fee of $10 p/night, $50 p/week.

Swimming, fishing, and beach combing are just three of the countless past times to enjoy at the many beaches. Golf, cycling, hiking, and horseback riding are some of the other activities that await you on Galiano. Regardless of what you decide to do with your day, remember to absorb the island's peacefulness as well as it's activities.

Rates

Rates are listed in Canadian dollars. XE.com Personal Currency Assistant. Rates are subject to change without notice.

High season:
• House: $300 daily / $1800 weekly
• Cottage: $165 daily / $1000 weekly

Remainder of year:
• House: $250 daily / $1500 weekly
• Cottage: $135 daily / $800 weekly

Rates based on double occupancy for the cottage, and 6 people for the house. Extra people per night: $30/adult, $15/child aged 2-12 years.

High season - Mid-June until Mid-September, Stat Holidays, Spring Break. Minimum 3 night bookings. Rates may be changed without notice. Open year-round. Discounted monthly rates available for low season, please inquire. 10% discount for returning guests.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Personal Cheque, Money Order, Cash.

Deposits and Cancellation Policy:

Payment by cheque or PayPal. 50% initial deposit in order to reserve the dates with the balance due at least 30 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation policy: If cancelled more than 2 weeks prior to arrival, 50% of the booking is kept. If cancelled less than 2 weeks, 100% is kept unless another booking is taken. We will do our best in this situation to book someone else into your slot.

Damage Deposit: $500 either by cheque or credit card. If no damages incurred, the deposit will be returned to you 2 weeks after the rental at the latest.
