Photos of Smiling Dogs

Who can resist smiling dogs? These pet photos celebrate the undeniable doggy smile of happy dogs enjoying life.

"This February 2009 picture is of my Dingo, Foxy Girl, at the BX dog park in Vernon, BC. She is a rescue dog from my daughter in Taiwan. Last winter was her first in Canada and she loved the snow!!!!" - Christine K.

"This is my Border Collie, Cody. He is a very active, excitable dog. Loves to play frisbee and ball. He will be 7 years old in May." - Donna B.

Pet photo of the day
"Hi, here's Skye and Jordie (Aussie and Border Collie) at the wonderful Cochrane off-leash area, right on the Bow River!" - Janet

"Bob really knows how to relax and even smiles for the camera. Notice he keeps his favorite ball close."
- Lorne of Agassiz, BC

Pet photos
"Here is my 10year old Bernese Mountain Dog. As you can see he is a very happy Birthday Boy!!" - Olva Turner of Victoria, BC

"Hello, this is my dog named Chico - he is the 'Love of my Life'! He was born in Puerto Vallarta and is now Canadian. He loves the snow!"
- Lori M.

"Hello Pet Friendly! Here are pictures of my 'kids' Emma and Nick. Emma is a beautiful soul. Nick was rescued from euthanasia in Yellowknife. I went for cat food at our local vet's office and came home with Nick, who was about to be put down within minutes of my visit. Whew! He's a sweet, lovely, eager little guy.

Thank you for your site. We really enjoy the info and use the site often when travelling."
- Beth H. of Edmonton, Alberta

Spencer
"Hi, my name is Spencer!" (Sent in by Michelle)
Featured Pets - Abbey and Molly
"I thought this was a great action shot, we took this on our walk in early spring, in Butterpot Park, on the Avalon Peninsula, Newfoundland. Abbey is the Lab/Golden Cross and Molly is the Black Lab."
- Kim Dunphy

"The larger dog is Sam and the smaller dog is Vickie. They always have a big smile for me (especially when I come home from work)."
- Jean C. of Alberta

"Oki, our late Terrier companion, was a deaf and blind senior. He had been left to die in the middle of the road having been hit by a car. I rescued him on the spot and provided care. He chose us forever. Once he recovered from the accident he began to smile. This is one of his first smiles - broad, loving and full of life." [Read Oki's story here]
- Carmen M. of Massachusetts, USA

"This is Sadie, a very happy Bull Terrier who loves eating treats and going for walks and lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba." - Annette C.

"Our 'cutie' is a 6 yr old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Bailey is a very active and playful dog. She especially loves to chase squirrels and chipmonks!"
-Monique B.

Pal

"I walk my dogs daily down by Lake Ontario, this is a picture of Pal, who is 4 years old. We found him as a puppy while on vacation in Prince Edward Island in 2001. You would think coming from there he would love water but he does not swim at all." - Ann T., Stoney Creek, Ontario
Chase Chase, Featured Pet

"This is my boy Chase - a male Golden 2.5 years old. We were in Long Beach May/05 and this was his 1st ocean experience. As you can see he took to the waves, sand and sun (wearing SPF30 on his nose) readily. We stayed in Ucluelet at one of the Pet Friendly sites - Anchors Inn. It was a beautiful and memorable vacation - we will be returning! Thanks for the reference to this spot on your website!" - Kim, Rick, Chase, Ginger and Peeko
