Although the hectic rush of the summer holidays are over,
fall is still a wonderful time to enjoy some time off --
even if it's just for a few days.
We always take our vacations in the fall. It's quiet,
far less crowded, and that means both us and our pooches
can relax and enjoy the fall colors, the crisp air, and
lots of leisurely hikes or walks. Plus it doesn't hurt
that many vacation rentals offer discounted rates after
the summer rush is over! But on a totally different note...
I NEED YOUR OPINION!
Recently, a dog-walking buddy of mine gave me one of the
animal bookmarks she hand-makes. These are not your
ordinary bookmarks; they're adorable, natural leather,
3-dimensional wildlife bookmarks in the shape of moose,
deer, wolves, and other wildlife. Truly Canadian!
Would you be interested in purchasing one? Do you, as a
pet lover, think that this is a good item to carry on this
site?
You're not under any obligation... I'm just looking for
opinions about whether or not you think they would be a
popular item with our visitors. I personally love them!
(I'm working on getting a photo to display on the site)
Please let me know what you think. This is your chance to
help shape the future of PetFriendly Canada!
Have a wonderful month. We'll see you back here in October.
PET QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"Dogs believe they are human. Cats believe they are God."

own, having a dog makes you rich." (Louis Sabin)
WAGGIN' TRAIL ADVENTURES
Vacationing in the Toronto area? Waggin' Trail Adventures
organizes and leads day hikes for people and their dogs in
and around the Greater Toronto Area. Hikes are relatively
easy paced and last between 2 -3 hours, and will take place
in parks and some conservation areas in and around the GTA.
It's a fun way to enjoy the outdoors and meet other dog
lovers!

IN MEMORY OF 9-11
"In memory of those who lost their lives
and loved ones on September 11, 2001."
Nearly one year ago, the twin World Trade Center towers
collapsed under a terrorist attack. Thousands of people
lost their lives, including many of the rescue workers
who bravely came forth to help.
There were other heroes there too: Over 250 canine search
and rescue dogs worked on site after the attack. Here are
a couple of links that acknowledge the important role they
played.
